ACME Solar Holdings Limited has significantly expanded its renewable energy footprint with the commissioning of an additional 75 megawatts (MW) at its ACME Sikar Solar project in Rajasthan. This new capacity builds on the earlier 165 MW commissioned at the same site, bringing the project’s total operational capacity to 240 MW out of a planned 300 MW. With this achievement, ACME Solar Holdings’ overall operational capacity across its portfolio has now reached 2806.4 MW.

The ACME Sikar Solar power project is strategically located in Bikaner, Rajasthan, spanning approximately 1300 acres. This region is known for having some of India’s highest solar irradiation, giving ACME Solar a distinct advantage in contributing to India’s long-term renewable energy objectives. The clean energy generated at the Sikar project is collected at inverter stations, then boosted in voltage and sent to the Bikaner-II grid via a dedicated single-circuit 220 kV transmission line.

The project’s debt financing has been secured through PFC Limited. Once fully operational, the ACME Sikar Solar project is projected to generate approximately 780 million units of clean energy annually. This 300 MW solar power project was originally awarded to ACME Solar under the SECI-ISTS XVIII scheme, with a tariff of INR 3.05 per unit. The tariff has since been adopted, and a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) is expected to be signed soon. In the meantime, the power generated from the currently commissioned capacity is being sold on power exchanges at merchant tariffs.
