AMPYR Distributed Energy Expands Portfolio with Acquisition of Eden Sustainable

AMPYR Distributed Energy (ADE), part of AGP Group, is set to acquire Eden Sustainable (Eden), UK’s leading developers of renewable energy solutions. This will combine the investment prowess of ADE with Eden’s renewables expertise.

Eden will continue to retain its brand while ADE will provide strategic inputs to business. ADE will also carry on PPA funding to over twenty renewables developers across the UK and Europe. Jamie Brimblecombe and Justin Leger will continue to lead Eden as joint Managing Directors. They have been part of the senior leadership team for Eden for over 7 years.

John Behan, CEO of ADE, commented: “The C&I renewables market is maturing fast, which means that proven project development and delivery capabilities have real value. We have invested in a number of projects delivered by Eden over the past year and have been hugely impressed with the team’s reliable and efficient approach to project delivery. This acquisition will allow ADE to support more of our partners with Eden’s development capabilities, as well as expand our upfront sales and project delivery capabilities to meet growing demand for onsite renewable solutions. We look forward to working closely with the Eden team, who share our vision of helping business customers reduce energy costs and simplifying their path to net zero. We are particularly pleased to retain the rich experience and industry expertise of Steve Baker, Eden’s founder, who will remain with the business in an advisory capacity over the next three years.”

In a joint statement, Jamie and Justin said: “We have seen the significant impact that ADE has had on the marketplace by making the adoption of renewables an easy win. By de-risking the funding and development process, ADE is helping businesses to realise the full potential of renewables – quickly and with confidence. The investment from ADE will ensure that our commitment to quality, customer care and environmental performance can continue to have a positive impact on our customers. We look forward to an exciting future under their ownership.”
