ADSW 2025: Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week to Drive Global Action on Sustainability

Under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the highly anticipated 2025 edition of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) is set to take place from January 12 to 18. This flagship global event will convene policymakers, business leaders, and sustainability experts to accelerate sustainable development and advance socioeconomic progress.

Themed “The Nexus of Next: Supercharging Sustainable Progress,” ADSW 2025 will highlight the transformative potential of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and clean energy in driving a sustainable economy. The event aims to unlock a projected $10 trillion global economic opportunity while sparking new avenues for prosperity.

Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Chairman of Masdar, emphasized the significance of the event, stating:

“ADSW 2025 will act as a nexus for global business leaders, policymakers, and entrepreneurs, leveraging interconnected solutions that build a more prosperous future for all. With three megatrends—emerging markets, energy transformation, and exponential AI growth—this platform is a launchpad for action.”

Key Highlights and Dates

The event kicks off with the IRENA Assembly on January 12-13 and the Global Climate Finance Annual Meeting on January 13. The ADSW Opening Ceremony and the Zayed Sustainability Prize Awards Ceremony will follow on January 14 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

Signature Summits and Forums

ADSW Summit (Jan 14-15): High-level discussions on collaboration and cutting-edge partnerships.

Green Hydrogen Summit (Jan 16): Insights into hydrogen’s potential as a clean energy source.

World Future Energy Summit (Jan 14-16): A hub for business growth, featuring over 55 startups in its Innovation Hub.

WiSER Forum (Jan 15): Amplifying women’s roles in sustainability leadership.

Youth 4 Sustainability (Y4S) Forum (Jan 14-16): Engaging 3,500 young participants in climate leadership programs.

Zayed Sustainability Prize

Celebrating 16 years of impact, the Zayed Sustainability Prize will honor innovators in categories such as Health, Food, Energy, Water, Climate Action, and Global High Schools. Since its inception, the award has positively impacted over 384 million lives worldwide.

Strategic Partnerships and Focus

ADSW 2025’s confirmed partners include major entities such as ADNOC, DEWA, Mubadala, Huawei, and HSBC. The event aims to foster systemic change by connecting energy, finance, trade, and ecosystems, enabling exponential growth and innovation.

The week-long event concludes with The Festival at Masdar City on January 17-18, bringing together communities to celebrate sustainability through interactive activities and exhibitions
