Industrial gas major Air Liquide has invested more than $1bn across US growth projects in the first half of 2026, including $480m in three large-scale semiconductor projects and a further $550m across two Gulf Coast projects.

The investment reflects the company’s push to expand its US presence in line with domestic industrial reshoring efforts.

Speaking during the company’s H1 2026 earnings call, CEO François Jackow said Air Liquide has dedicated $480m to advanced semiconductor projects with US-based semiconductor manufacturers.

Across other large industries, the company signed three major projects in the first half of 2026, with two of the projects located on the US Gulf Coast.
