Industrial gas giant Air Products has confirmed plans to build, own, and operate a new air separation unit (ASU) in Cocoa, Florida.
The plant is set to be operational in the second half of 2028 and will produce liquid oxygen, nitrogen, and argon.
Francesco Maione, President of the Americas, Helium, and Rare Gases at Air Products, said, “The facility’s location will provide a clear opportunity to further enhance our support for space launch providers in Florida.”
Gases produced at the site will also be available for the regional merchant market.
Air Products operates 70 ASUs across the US and has been active in Florida for over three decades, with operations in Orlando supporting medical and industrial gas supply.
