Air Products wants to drive spec gases growth, says Lope

Air Products is more committed than ever to its core speciality gas business, with the market for specialty gases continuing to grow. Specialty gas customers are also more inclined than to look for partnerships and closer ties with suppliers, which is something the industrial gas major welcomes as a development.

The position was set out by Miquel Lope, Vice-President for Northern Europe at Air Products, in his keynote presentation on day two of the three-day Specialty Gas Summit 2025 in Utrecht in the Netherlands.

Lope said diversifying the company’s supply chain to serve customers held the key to keeping up.

“You need a balanced and secure supply chain, with different expertise and resources in different locations – and a willingness to keep investing and growing to go after opportunities and grow stronger.”
