AMPIN Energy Transition Signs PPA for 199 MW / 800 MWh FDRE Project Under SECI Tranche VII

AMPIN Energy Transition has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) for its 199 MW / approximately 800 MWh Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project under Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) Tranche VII, marking the company’s entry into the FDRE segment.

The project is AMPIN Energy Transition’s first Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy asset and will integrate renewable energy generation with battery energy storage to provide reliable and dispatchable clean power under a long-term contractual framework.

According to the company, the project will supply renewable electricity during non-solar hours by leveraging battery energy storage, supporting grid stability while addressing the evolving demand for round-the-clock clean energy in India’s power sector.

The project aligns with India’s growing focus on storage-backed renewable energy solutions to improve grid reliability and enable greater integration of renewable energy into the electricity mix.

AMPIN Energy Transition said the PPA marks a significant milestone in its renewable energy portfolio and reinforces its commitment to developing next-generation clean energy infrastructure. The company added that the project strengthens its position in delivering resilient, dependable and dispatchable renewable energy solutions to support India’s energy transition.
