Boviet Solar Technology Co. Ltd., a global leader in solar energy technology with expertise in monocrystalline PV cells and the production of its premium Gamma Series™ Monofacial and Vega Series™ Bifacial PV modules, has reached an important milestone with the successful production of its first photovoltaic (PV) modules at its new manufacturing facility in Greenville, Pitt County, North Carolina. This achievement comes shortly after the facility’s grand opening and marks the official launch of Boviet Solar’s manufacturing operations in the United States.

The new U.S. plant is part of the company’s broader strategy to expand its global presence, strengthen its supply chain within North America, and contribute to the growth of the domestic clean energy economy. The Greenville facility is designed to produce high-performance PV modules using advanced solar cell technology. These modules will support a range of solar energy projects including residential, commercial, industrial, and utility-scale installations across the United States and North America. Once the facility reaches full-scale production, it will have the capacity to manufacture up to 2 gigawatts (GW) of PV modules annually.

Scott Chen, VP of Global Sales and Marketing at Boviet Solar, mentioned, “This is a proud moment for all of us at Boviet Solar. Producing our first PV modules on U.S. soil reflects our continued dedication to delivering high-quality, reliable solar solutions while contributing to the growth of American clean energy manufacturing.”

Sienna Cen, President of Boviet Solar USA, stated, “This milestone not only highlights our investment in U.S. manufacturing but also reflects our broader mission—to make the Earth a better place for all living beings by harnessing the power of the sun. We are proud to contribute to job creation, energy independence, and a more sustainable future.”

In addition, Boviet Solar has begun the second phase of development at the site, which involves constructing a state-of-the-art PV cell manufacturing plant. This second facility is expected to add another 2 GW of annual capacity, further enhancing the company’s ability to serve the growing demand for solar energy solutions. With this expansion, Boviet Solar reinforces its reputation as a reliable and long-term partner in the solar industry. The company remains committed to maintaining high manufacturing standards, investing in technological innovation, promoting sustainability, and delivering value to its clients and partners worldwide.
