Capstone Green Energy Announces The Appointment Of Christopher Close To Its Board Of Directors

Capstone Green Energy Holdings, Inc. and Capstone Green Energy, LLC. have announced the appointment of Christopher Close to their Board of Directors, effective June 16, 2025. Alongside his board role, Mr. Close is also expected to join the company’s Audit Committee. With this appointment, the total number of board members has increased to seven. Mr. Close brings over 35 years of experience in senior financial leadership, with deep expertise in corporate finance, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, investor relations, treasury, and accounting. His leadership background also includes responsibilities in human resources and information technology.

Bob Flexon, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Capstone, stated, “We are very excited to welcome Chris to the Capstone Board. He currently serves as President of Close Consulting LLC, where he advises business owners and private equity-backed companies on financial strategy, operational performance, restructuring, and organizational development. Previously, he held executive positions as Chief Financial Officer at Noramco, a global pharmaceutical company, and at Preferred Sands, a major player in the energy services sector.

In these roles, he led significant financial transformation initiatives across multi-site operations. Earlier in his career, Mr. Close held senior finance roles at Exelon, Constellation Energy, and Airgas, and began his professional journey as an auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He holds an MBA from Villanova University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Delaware. Additionally, he holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses.
