North American industrial gas firm Charbone has expanded its helium delivery fleet from one unit to five, with plans to add five more trailers in the coming months.
It comes after the company added 22 new helium customers across Quebec, Canada, in laboratories, advanced manufacturing, and technical services.
Through this expansion, the company aims to meet increasing helium demand in the North American market amid global supply chain disruption due to conflict in the Middle East.
The company will target semiconductor manufacturing and healthcare sectors, among other industries. It said it has secured “long-term customer commitments” through 2028.
Charbone said global helium supply shortages have enabled it to develop its business faster in underserved markets.
The company its helium division in 2025, which Dave Gagnon, Charbone’s CEO, previously said was a move to build a more diversified and resilient industrial gas business with broader supply capabilities.
