CTC Global Strengthens Global Growth Strategy With Appointment Of Charles Girard As Director Of International Finance BD

CTC Global, a leading developer and manufacturer of high-capacity advanced conductors, has announced the appointment of Charles Girard to its global sales and business development team. He will serve as Director, Business Development, International Finance. In this new role, Mr. Girard will focus on expanding the global reach of CTC Global’s advanced ACCC® Conductor technology by engaging with major international financial institutions, such as the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, African Development Bank, and U.S. EXIM Bank.

Mr. Girard brings more than 15 years of experience across the banking and energy sectors. Prior to joining CTC Global, he was a senior advisor at the World Bank, where he managed over $3 billion in high-voltage alternating current (HVAC) transmission line projects across various continents. He also previously served as Lead Energy Trade Commissioner in Washington, D.C., where he worked to promote Canadian clean energy exports to the U.S.

David Chiesa, CTC Global’s Vice President of International Sales and Business Development, stated, “Charles brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of international energy markets, infrastructure financing, and policy. Charles’ global perspective and proven track record in project development and institutional engagement will help drive continued support from these important investors in grid capacity, efficiency and resiliency.”

Throughout his career, Mr. Girard has advised a wide range of organizations, including multinational corporations, government bodies, and emerging energy start-ups. He also teaches at the U.S. Foreign Service Institute (FSI) as an adjunct faculty professor, offering courses on international energy markets and diplomacy. He holds an MBA from ESCP Europe and a bachelor’s degree from McGill University. Having lived in eight countries and worked in more than 50, Mr. Girard brings a truly global perspective to his new role. His appointment supports CTC Global’s continued commitment to helping modernize power grids around the world.
