Entergy Mississippi is making the largest, most comprehensive grid investment in its history through Superpower Mississippi, a five-year reliability program designed to deliver stronger, smarter, and more resilient power for customers—while keeping rates well below the national average.

Thanks to new revenues from major industrial investments in the state, including Amazon, Entergy Mississippi plans to increase grid improvement spending by 50% (an additional $300 million) at no cost to customers. Combined with $600 million already committed, the initiative represents nearly $1 billion in reliability upgrades.

The plan targets a 50% reduction in power outages—both in frequency and duration—for the average customer within five years, excluding major weather events. Key measures include:

  • Installing stronger poles engineered to withstand severe weather.
  • Deploying more smart devices, real-time monitoring systems, and advanced self-healing networks to detect faults, reroute power, and restore service faster.
  • Expanding tree-trimming and dead tree removal programs across the service area to prevent outages.

Superpower Mississippi will save customers millions by preventing future costs and marks a major milestone in building a more reliable, resilient power grid for the state.
