GoodWe Strengthens ESG Efforts with Global Reforestation Project Launch

  • “GoodWe Forest” begins with the donation of 2,024 trees at GoodWe Global Partner Summit 2024”

GoodWe has launched the GoodWe Forest initiative as part of its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitment to mitigate climate change, protect biodiversity, and foster environmental resilience. Supported by NGOs, the initiative emphasizes selecting trees species and locations that support local ecosystems while also raising awareness about global sustainability challenges.

The project officially kicked off during the GoodWe Global Partner Summit 2024, made by the donation of 2,024 trees to symbolize the collective contributions of GoodWe’s global partners. These trees will be planted across various regions, including Asia, Oceania, Africa, Europe, Latin America, and North America, reflecting the global nature of the company’s operations and partnerships.

“The initiative reflects GoodWe’s ongoing efforts and holistic approach to engaging its global partners to share the company’s ESG vision, which is to drive the whole supply chain to empower life-cycle carbon reductions at all scopes,” said Dr. Kenan Zhang, Director of GoodWe Sustainable Development Research Institute. “It’s an encouraging step that highlights the role of collective action in addressing sustainability challenges, not just renewable energy technology but also biodiversity, local natural environment, and equity.”

At GoodWe’s newly inaugurated global headquarters, the “Together Towards Zero Carbon” area within its corporate exhibition hall features the GoodWe Forest as part of the company’s broader efforts to sustainable development. This interactive space highlights GoodWe’s accomplishments and invites visitors to take action by signing their support. During the summit, attended by over 500 global partners, more than 100 participants joined the initiative, demonstrating strong enthusiasm for this sustainability effort.

To implement the GoodWe Forest, GoodWe has been supported by NGOs that focus on restoring habitats, supporting local communities, and enhancing climate resilience.

Through the GoodWe Forest, GoodWe is taking meaningful steps to combat global environmental challenges while inspiring its employees, partners, and the broader community to join its sustainability journey. Looking ahead, GoodWe plans to expand the initiative by planting more trees and engaging diverse communities, reinforcing its long-term commitment to a greener and more sustainable world.
