Huasun Debuts Vertical HJT Solar Modules at Bulgaria’s Largest Agricultural Expo

Huasun Energy recently showcased its Kunlun series heterojunction (HJT) vertical solar modules at the 17th edition of BATA AGRO, Bulgaria’s largest exhibition for agriculture and  agricultural technology. Making their debut in the country, the modules drew significant attention for exemplifying the synergy between agriculture and solar energy.

On the opening day, Georgi Tahov, Bulgaria’s Minister of Agriculture and Food, visited the Huasun booth and expressed strong appreciation for the Kunlun series’ potential to deliver both economic and social benefits. He engaged with Huasun representatives to explore the advantages of HJT technology and the investment value of vertical Agri-PV systems.

Minister Tahov highlighted the global importance of integrating clean energy with agriculture, noting that vertical Agri-PV can boost land-use efficiency, drive rural development, and support the energy transition. He affirmed the Bulgarian government’s commitment to advancing such initiatives through strong policy backing.

In real-world application, Huasun has already established a strategic partnership with Germany’s vertical PV leader Next2Sun, with several megawatt-scale HJT Agri-PV projects completed in Germany and other European countries. These projects feature wide row spacing to accommodate crop growth and farm machinery, ensuring agricultural productivity is fully preserved.

At the heart of these systems are Huasun’s Kunlun series HJT modules, standing tall with industry-leading bifaciality approaching 100%. This allows them to deliver high solar output while maintaining the land’s agricultural function—offering a model of efficient land use and sustainable development.

The Kunlun Series made a strong debut at BATA AGRO, drawing significant interest in vertical Agri-PV solutions from farmers, experts, and industry leaders. Recognized by attendees as a ‘Top PV Innovation in 2025’, the modules highlight Huasun’s commitment to global expansion amid rising demand for solar across diverse sectors in Europe.
