Huasun Secures 3 GW+ HJT Module Deal for Hongyang’s Integrated Energy Project in Xinjiang

Anhui Huasun Energy Co., Ltd. (“Huasun”) has officially signed a framework agreement with Hongyang New Energy Development Group (Jilin) Co., Ltd. (“Hongyang Group”) for the supply of heterojunction (HJT) photovoltaic modules. Under the agreement, Huasun will provide no less than 3 GW of high-efficiency HJT modules for Hongyang Group’s solar-storage-hydrogen-ammonia-methanol projects in Ili and Altay, Xinjiang Province, Northwest China. This collaboration not only marks a deep strategic alignment between the two companies in the renewable energy sector but also injects strong momentum into the high-quality development of Xinjiang’s clean energy industry.

Under this newly established partnership, Huasun will supply a total of over 3 GW of G12-132 high-efficiency HJT modules for the Iliand Altay projects by the end of 2026. A portion of the project will adopt a vertical installation method to fully leverage HJT technology’s high power generation efficiency and superior bifaciality. The dual-peak power generation advantage of vertical HJT modules will help mitigate grid impact and energy storage pressure during peak midday hours, effectively reducing overall investment costs. This collaboration is particularly significant as it marks Hongyang Group’s first venture into HJT solar technology and is set to become Huasun’s largest single supply contract exceeding 3 GW, setting a new record for the company.

Xinjiang is not only known for its stunning natural landscapes but also for its abundant renewable energy resources, including solar and wind power, providing a strong foundation for solar-storage-hydrogen projects. In recent years, with significant policy support and successful project implementation, Xinjiang has made remarkable progress in this field, fostering a new industrial chain and economic growth drivers.

As a key player in the emerging energy sector, Hongyang Group has long focused on infrastructure development, renewable energy projects, and other core business areas, actively supporting China’s Western Development Strategy, the Belt and Road Initiative, and the national “dual carbon” goals. Its integrated solar-storage-hydrogen-ammonia-methanol projects in Ili and Altay aim to establish a complete industrial chain from green electricity to green hydrogen and green ammonia-methanol. Through this innovative industrial layout, the project is expected to drive the deep integration and collaborative innovation of renewable energy, chemical industries, and energy storage, contributing to regional energy transition and economic sustainability.

As a global leader in HJT solar technology and manufacturing, Huasun boasts an annual production capacity of 20 GW, with product deliveries spanning over 60 countries and regions, and cumulative shipments exceeding 10 GW. Huasun’s HJT modules have gained widespread recognition in domestic and international markets due to their exceptional photovoltaic conversion efficiency, superior low-light performance, outstanding temperature coefficient, and high product reliability.

In recent years, Huasun has stood out in large-scale PV module procurement tenders led by state-owned enterprises, securing multiple major projects with its advanced technology and outstanding product quality. The strategic partnership with Hongyang Group further demonstrates the increasing market acceptance and large-scale application potential of HJT technology in renewable energy projects. It also signals a crucial role that HJT technology will play in the future energy landscape.

As China continues to advance its “dual carbon” goals, the country’s renewable energy sector is entering a golden era of rapid development. The collaboration between Huasun and Hongyang Group integrates their complementary strengths across the renewable energy value chain to jointly develop the Ili and Altay solar-storage-hydrogen-ammonia-methanol projects, bringing new momentum to Xinjiang’s green development. Moving forward, the two companies will deepen their strategic cooperation in project implementation, investment, and major energy developments, further propelling China’s renewable energy industry to new heights.
