JA Solar Expands Presence In Mexico With 260MW Distribution Agreement

JA Solar, a global leader in photovoltaic (PV) technology, has partnered with Exel Solar, one of Mexico’s top PV distributors, to supply 260 MW of solar modules. This agreement, announced during RE+ Mexico 2025, marks a significant step in JA Solar’s strategy to strengthen its presence in Latin America and support the region’s transition to clean energy.

As part of the partnership, JA Solar will supply its state-of-the-art DeepBlue 4.0 Pro modules, which incorporate advanced n-type TOPCon technology. This innovation enhances efficiency, reliability, and durability, ensuring the modules perform exceptionally well even in challenging environmental conditions, such as high temperatures and low light.

The DeepBlue 4.0 Pro modules are designed to minimize recombination losses and improve temperature performance, resulting in higher energy yields and long-term stability compared to traditional solar solutions. Exel Solar, leveraging its extensive distribution network and industry expertise, will ensure these high-tech modules reach customers across Mexico, helping accelerate the adoption of solar energy in residential, commercial, and industrial-scale applications.

Mexico’s diverse climate, ranging from arid deserts to humid coastal regions, demands PV solutions that can withstand extreme weather conditions. JA Solar’s DeepBlue 4.0 Pro modules are engineered to excel under such circumstances, making them a reliable choice for the country’s rapidly expanding solar sector. By delivering these highly efficient PV solutions, JA Solar empowers local businesses and energy providers to maximize power generation while ensuring strong long-term returns on investment. This also contributes to Mexico’s broader goal of embracing a cleaner and more sustainable energy future.

Aiqing Yang, Executive President of JA Solar, mentioned “Mexico and Latin America are key markets for JA Solar, and we are committed to providing high-efficiency PV solutions tailored to the region’s diverse energy needs. Our partnership with Exel Solar marks another important step in driving sustainable energy development and supporting our customers in maximizing their solar investments.”

Looking ahead, JA Solar remains committed to Latin America’s renewable energy transformation by fostering local partnerships, advancing solar technology, and exploring new project opportunities. Through ongoing innovation and collaboration with trusted distributors like Exel Solar, JA Solar aims to deliver sustainable energy solutions that not only drive regional growth but also enhance long-term energy security.
