Juniper Green Energy has announced the successful commissioning of the 59 MWp/42 MW solar component of its 75 MW hybrid power project in Karanja (Ghadge), Wardha district, Maharashtra. The solar plant was officially commissioned on June 6, 2025—an impressive 17 months ahead of its scheduled timeline. This early completion represents a significant milestone in the development of the Juniper Green Power Five Project and marks a major step forward toward the project’s full operationalization.

The project has a total Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) capacity of 75 MW, which includes 75 MW of contracted solar capacity and an additional 26.4 MW of installed wind capacity. The PPA was signed with the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) on November 18, 2024, and the Scheduled Commercial Operation Date (SCOD) for the complete hybrid project is set for November 17, 2026. With the solar portion now online well ahead of schedule, Juniper Green Energy is making substantial progress toward delivering the full benefits of this hybrid renewable energy system.

Ankush Malik, CEO, Juniper Green Energy, stated, “The early commissioning of our Karanja Hybrid Project, following the successful delivery of the Chapalgaon plant, highlights our strong execution capabilities and commitment to timely project delivery. We remain focused on accelerating India’s clean energy transition by consistently delivering reliable and sustainable power.”

Parag Agarwal, CFO, Juniper Green Energy, mentioned, “This project highlights our support for Maharashtra’s renewable energy targets and our contribution to the green energy transition. Hybrid projects, combining solar and wind, are key to providing stable and reliable renewable power supply to the grid.”

This achievement builds on Juniper Green Energy’s consistent focus on timely execution and operational excellence in renewable energy. It follows the early completion of the Chapalgaon Solar Project, which was commissioned 19 months ahead of schedule. These successes underline the company’s commitment to accelerating the transition to clean energy and strengthening its presence in India’s growing renewable energy sector.
