Jyoti Structures Secures INR 689.93 Crore GETCO Order For 765 kV Transmission Line In Gujarat

Jyoti Structures Limited (JSL), a listed engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company specialising in power transmission infrastructure, has secured an order worth ₹689.93 crore, excluding Goods and Services Tax (GST), from Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited (GETCO). The contract covers the 765 kV double-circuit (DC) Pachchham–Saykha Transmission Line project in Gujarat and will be executed on a total turnkey basis.

Under the contract, JSL will undertake the design, testing, supply, erection and commissioning of the transmission line. The project is scheduled for completion within 42 months from the date of the Letter of Award. The order strengthens the company’s presence in Gujarat’s power transmission sector and adds to its portfolio of projects being executed for utilities and private developers.

Gujarat has continued to invest in transmission infrastructure to support the expansion of its power network and renewable energy capacity. The development of high-voltage transmission lines and power evacuation systems is essential for transferring electricity from generation centres to consumption hubs. The new GETCO contract reflects the demand for specialised EPC services to develop transmission infrastructure capable of supporting the state’s evolving electricity requirements.

To strengthen its project execution capabilities in the state, JSL recently inaugurated a dedicated project office in Ahmedabad. The facility houses project management teams and is intended to improve coordination among engineering, site execution and customer-facing teams. The office will also support closer monitoring of project sites, facilitate stakeholder engagement and help the company manage ongoing assignments while pursuing additional transmission opportunities in Gujarat.

Commenting on the order, Amit Dutta, Chief Operating Officer of Jyoti Structures Limited, said Gujarat remains an important market for the company, with several transmission projects already under execution. He added that contracts of this nature reflect continued demand for specialised EPC capabilities in the power transmission sector. The company remains focused on expanding its project portfolio while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The GETCO contract follows JSL’s recent project in Sri Lanka, where it partnered with Hayleys Fentons Limited to develop a 220 kV double-circuit transmission line between Mannar and Mullikulam. The project is intended to support the evacuation of wind power into Sri Lanka’s national electricity grid.

With more than five decades of experience in power transmission EPC, JSL has constructed over 37,600 circuit kilometres of transmission lines and delivered more than 1,800 high-voltage substation bays. Its capabilities include design and engineering, manufacturing, prototype tower testing, construction and project management. The company also undertakes turnkey projects involving substations, underground cabling and optical ground wire installations across domestic and international markets.
