ONNEX SOLAR Powers Porsche Centre Bangna with 400kWp Solar Rooftop for Sustainable Energy

ONNEX SOLAR by SCG Smart Living in SCG Smart Living, an expert in installing all types of solar power generation systems, the latest project that has been trusted by Stuttgart Automotive (Thailand), an official Porsche dealer, a new dealer that opened Porsche Centre Bangna last December, one of the European standard car service centers that emphasize the importance of using clean energy, co-planning the installation of solar cell systems since the beginning of construction, with the goal of using clean energy from the first day of opening the service center as a starting point for doing business alongside saving the world.

In this project, ONNEX SOLAR has planned to design a solar cell system on the roof of the service center or Solar Rooftop by choosing a size of 400 kilowatts peak that meets the usage requirements of Porsche Center Bangna, covering the use in the showroom, service center, and paint and body repair center on an area of over 8 rai, including the air conditioning system, lighting, and operation of various devices. To make the solar cell system as efficient as possible in generating electricity, not only choosing the latest solar panels and inverters, ONNEX SOLAR has also designed the system to support future battery operations by introducing a Smart Monitoring system to manage power generation data to support the expansion of the service area in the future sustainably according to the service center’s operation plan.

For the installation in this project, ONNEX SOLAR received an important task, which was to complete the installation of solar cells along with the main structure of the service center within only 3 months. The team therefore planned to install some areas, such as the service stairs and the inverter room, using the knockdown system, which allowed for a quick and efficient installation. As a result, the project was completed and delivered within the specified time frame according to the assigned task.

Ms. Anyaporn Saeku, Managing Director of Stuttgart Automotive (Thailand) Co., Ltd., said, “Investing in solar cells is one of the company’s key goals in implementing clean energy into the new architecture of the Destination Porsche Centre, which includes a showroom, service center, and paint and body repair center, which are areas that use a lot of electricity. The use of solar cells not only helps reduce carbon dioxide emissions but also effectively reduces the company’s expenses. This is an investment that meets the needs of a sustainable business. In addition, it also shows a commitment that is consistent with the vision of Porsche, the parent company from Germany, in promoting the use of renewable energy and aiming to reduce carbon dioxide emissions to zero (Carbon Neutrality) in the near future.”

Mr. Dusit Chairat, Head of Smart Solution Business, SCG Smart Living from ONNEX SOLAR, said about this collaboration, “We are proud to be a part of supporting Porsche Center Bangna to move forward in sustainability. The installation of this 400kWp solar system not only helps reduce electricity costs, but also reduces greenhouse gas emissions and creates a long-term positive impact on the environment. The installation of solar systems today is the beginning of the use of clean energy that every project can participate in.”

Mr. Dusit Chairat, Head of Smart Solution Business, SCG Smart Living

The solar cell installation project at Porsche Centre Bangna not only demonstrates the organization’s commitment to creating positive changes for society and the environment in a sustainable manner, but it is also a cost-effective solution because more than 60% of most businesses’ expenses are electricity costs. Installing a solar system, which currently has a payback period of only 3-5 years, is an investment that will help reduce business costs in a tangible way.”
