Philippines Clean Energy Week 2026 Sets New Momentum for the Country’s Energy Transition

Philippines Clean Energy Week 2026 marked a grand success on 9 October at Sheraton Manila Bay, bringing the country’s clean-energy community together for a high-impact day of leadership, knowledge exchange and industry collaboration.

The event connected policymakers, regulators, utilities, renewable-energy developers, investors, financiers, EPC companies, technology providers, corporate energy users and sustainability leaders. Together, they examined the technologies, policies, investment priorities and delivery challenges influencing the next phase of the Philippines’ energy transition.

Featuring an opening address, keynote, four techno-commercial presentations, three strategic panel discussions and two exclusive closed-door leadership roundtables, the programme created a comprehensive platform connecting high-level strategy with practical project implementation.

The day opened with remarks from Chief Guest Atty. Nancy Aurora Q. Fajardo, Executive Director of the Energy Regulatory Commission, who brought an important regulatory perspective to the event.

Claire Marie Yvonne Lee, Director of the Renewable Energy Association of the Philippines, then delivered the keynote address, setting the stage for conversations on market growth, renewable-energy deployment and the collaboration required to advance the country’s clean-energy ambitions.

Four techno-commercial presentations provided further insight into emerging solar, power-conversion, monitoring and energy-management solutions. The presentations were delivered by representatives from Skyworth, Hopewind, Nextwave Energy Monitoring and SolarEdge Technologies.

The conference featured three successful panel discussions spanning infrastructure, distributed energy and project finance.

Panel Discussion 1: Utility-Scale Renewable Energy, Energy Storage, Green Hydrogen and Grid Transformation explored large-scale solar, wind and hybrid development; transmission and interconnection constraints; battery energy storage; green hydrogen; digital grids; procurement models; and energy resilience across the Philippines.

Panel Discussion 2: Distributed Solar, C&I Energy Transformation and Consumer Energy Participation examined rooftop solar, corporate renewable-energy procurement, behind-the-meter storage, net metering, smart energy management, virtual power plants and improved clean-energy access for businesses, homes and communities.

Panel Discussion 3: Green Finance, Investment and Bankable Clean-Energy Projects focused on mobilising capital, strengthening project bankability, managing investment risks, financing storage and hybrid assets, attracting institutional investors and moving projects from development into construction and operation.

Running alongside the main conference, two closed-door Leadership Roundtable Sessions brought a select group of senior industry leaders together for focused, peer-level dialogue.

Leadership Roundtable Session 1 addressed industrial decarbonisation, corporate sustainability and net-zero leadership. Participants discussed practical decarbonisation roadmaps, renewable-energy procurement, emissions management, electrification, energy efficiency, climate disclosure, sustainable finance and business competitiveness.

Leadership Roundtable Session 2 focused on project delivery, asset performance and operational excellence. The discussion examined execution discipline, permitting, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, supply-chain resilience, predictive maintenance, battery safety and lifecycle optimisation.

These exclusive sessions provided an environment in which senior leaders could openly share practical experience, examine common challenges and identify opportunities for greater collaboration.

The exhibition area added an important commercial and technology dimension to the event. Attendees engaged directly with participating companies, explored clean-energy solutions and discussed practical requirements for current and future projects.

Participating partners and exhibitors included SKYWORTH, Hopewind, NextWave Energy Monitoring, SuryaLogix, SolarEdge Technologies, EcoFlow, Renewable Energy Association of the Philippines (REAP), CREST – Center for Renewable Energy and Sustainable Technology (CREST), Italian Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines (ICCPI), Future Energy Storage & System Integration Alliance (FESSIA), Green Finance Alliance, Future Energy Leadership Alliance (FELA), SolarQuarter Global, ENERGY STORAGE PRO.

Networking remained central throughout the day, enabling participants from different parts of the energy value chain to establish new connections, exchange perspectives and explore potential partnerships.

The event also featured a distinguished awards ceremony recognising organisations, projects, teams and individuals contributing to the advancement of clean energy in the Philippines.

The awards programme included The Philippines Clean Energy Leadership Awards 2026, Philippines Sustainability Leadership Awards 2026, Top Solar Contractors Awards, Grand Masters Awards and WENERGY 2026.

Recognition spanned business leadership, sustainability, technology and innovation, project excellence, engineering, solar contracting, executive leadership and women’s leadership in energy. Individual winner details were presented during the ceremony.
