Premier Energies Secures ₹3,011 Crore Solar Orders for 1,846 MW Cells and Modules

Premier Energies Limited has secured new orders worth ₹3,011 crore during the April–June quarter for the supply of 1,846 MW of solar cells and modules, strengthening its order book amid rising domestic demand for solar equipment.

The orders have been awarded by a mix of leading power producers, module manufacturers, EPC companies, and other customers. Deliveries are scheduled across FY2027 and FY2028.

The latest order wins come as Premier Energies accelerates the expansion of its manufacturing capacity to meet growing demand. The company recently increased its solar module manufacturing capacity from 5.5 GW to 11.1 GW, while its solar cell manufacturing capacity is expected to expand from 3.6 GW to 10.6 GW by September 2026.

Commenting on the development, Chiranjeev Saluja, Managing Director of Premier Energies, said the company’s growth strategy is being supported by robust demand for solar products and the Indian government’s continued focus on domestic manufacturing under the Make in India initiative. He added that the implementation of the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM)-2 policy for domestically manufactured solar cells will further support industry growth.

Saluja said the new orders reflect customer confidence in Premier Energies’ manufacturing capabilities, technology investments, product quality, and execution track record. He added that the company remains focused on delivering high-efficiency solar solutions while contributing to India’s clean energy transition and self-reliance objectives.
