Solis Marks 10 Years in India, Expands into Energy Storage with SolisStorage Launch in Surat

Solis has marked a decade of operations in India with the official launch of SolisStorage, expanding its presence beyond solar inverters into integrated energy storage solutions. The announcement was made during the Solis Surat Technical Seminar 2026, held on September 18 at Le Méridien Hotel in Surat, Gujarat.

The event brought together customers, business partners, and renewable energy professionals for technical discussions, product presentations, and industry networking. It also highlighted the company’s evolving strategy in India, with a growing focus on combining solar generation, battery storage, and intelligent energy management.

Over the past ten years, Solis has established its presence in India’s solar market through its inverter technologies and partnerships with industry stakeholders. The introduction of SolisStorage represents a significant step in broadening its portfolio to address the increasing demand for energy storage across residential, commercial, and industrial applications.

The expansion comes as Indian businesses increasingly explore energy storage to improve solar self-consumption, manage peak electricity demand, strengthen backup power capabilities, and optimize energy usage. For commercial and industrial (C&I) consumers, battery energy storage systems are becoming an important consideration in improving energy flexibility and maximizing the utilization of on-site solar generation.

During the seminar, Solis showcased two energy storage solutions designed to address different commercial and industrial requirements: EverCore and FlexCore-ID.

EverCore is an integrated outdoor energy storage cabinet combining battery storage with Solis hybrid inverter technology. Available in 100 kWh, 120 kWh, and 261 kWh configurations, the solution is designed to simplify system integration and installation. It targets applications such as industrial parks, large manufacturing facilities, distributed solar projects, and other commercial establishments requiring integrated energy storage infrastructure.

FlexCore-ID, meanwhile, is an indoor modular energy storage solution featuring a vertical stacking architecture with an integrated support frame. Offering capacities ranging from 60 kWh to 261 kWh per stack, the system enables flexible configurations and future capacity expansion based on project requirements. Its modular design makes it suitable for factories, commercial buildings, rooftop solar installations, and retrofit projects where space availability and phased investment are important considerations.

Through these two solutions, Solis aims to address varying installation environments, storage capacity requirements, and future expansion needs within India’s growing C&I energy storage segment.

The technical seminar also highlighted the changing priorities of India’s solar energy market, where customers are increasingly looking beyond electricity generation toward integrated energy management and storage solutions.

A presenter stands on stage at a conference discussing industry development and pressing issues related to renewable energy, with a projection displaying key points such as 'Increasing share of renewable energy generation' and 'Inadequate power infrastructure'.

Speaking at the event, Idrish Khan, Chief Technical Officer at Solis, said “Over the past decade, we have witnessed a significant transformation in the Indian market. Ten years ago, our conversations were largely focused on building solar awareness and expanding PV adoption. Today, customers are increasingly looking at how energy storage can add flexibility and value to their energy systems. Businesses are not only considering electricity costs, but are also looking at energy management, peak and off-peak consumption, and reliable backup power.”

Highlighting the company’s priorities for the Indian market, he added “As we expand SolisStorage in India, our focus is on adapting our solutions to local market requirements, strengthening our relationships with C&I partners, and enhancing our local technical support capabilities. This will allow us to provide customers with solutions and services throughout the lifecycle of their energy storage projects.”

Beyond the product introductions, the Surat seminar served as a platform for discussions on system configurations, storage applications, project requirements, and emerging opportunities in India’s renewable energy sector.

The launch of SolisStorage signals the company’s intention to strengthen its position in the evolving solar-plus-storage market. By combining its established inverter portfolio with battery storage technologies and local technical support, Solis is positioning itself to serve customers seeking more integrated and flexible energy solutions.

As the company enters its next decade in India, its expansion into energy storage reflects the broader transition in the renewable energy industry from standalone solar installations toward systems that integrate generation, storage, and intelligent energy management.
