Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited has been declared the L1 bidder in a tender floated by a reputed PSU developer for a turnkey EPC package to develop a 245 MW (AC) grid-connected solar photovoltaic project in Gujarat.

The win adds to SWREL’s strong order pipeline, with gross order inflows (including L1 status) now exceeding ₹2,000 crore in the current year. “This further strengthens our position in the domestic market and reaffirms our role as a trusted partner in the renewable energy sector,” said Mr. Chandra Kishore Thakur, Global CEO, Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Group. He noted that the domestic renewable market remains buoyant, with ordering activity gaining momentum—creating positive prospects for EPC players.

The project will be executed on a turnkey basis and is expected to contribute significantly to India’s solar capacity expansion in the coming years.
