Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd. (TPREL), a subsidiary of Tata Power and one of India’s largest renewable energy companies, commissioned 752 MW of solar projects in Q1 FY26 — its highest-ever quarterly addition, marking a 112% increase over the 354 MW commissioned in Q1 FY25.

This milestone reflects TPREL’s focus on efficient execution, disciplined project management, and adherence to high standards of quality and safety. Leveraging advanced engineering, a robust supply chain, and strong vendor partnerships, the company continues to deliver complex projects even in challenging conditions while optimizing costs.

With this addition, TPREL’s total operational utility-scale renewable capacity has reached 5.6 GW — comprising 4.6 GW of solar and 1 GW of wind. The company plans to further commission 1.7 GW of utility-owned projects and 1 GW of third-party projects in FY26.

TPREL is targeting a total operational capacity of 7.3 GW by the end of FY26, including 5.6 GW solar and 1.7 GW wind. These installations significantly contribute to India’s clean energy growth and reinforce Tata Power’s commitment to national energy security and sustainability goals.
