U-Solar Launches Landmark 20 MW Solar Energy Project, With 50 MW Expansion in Pipeline

U-Solar Clean Energy Pvt. Ltd., a leading solar EPC and energy solutions provider, proudly announces the successful commissioning of a 20 MW DC captive solar power project for a prominent workspace solutions provider. The project, located in Ramasamudra, Yadgir, Karnataka, was completed within an impressive 15-month timeline, commencing in March 2024 and reaching full commissioning by May 24, 2025.

This milestone installation is expected to generate approximately 31.5 million units (kWh) of clean electricity annually, resulting in an estimated CO₂ emissions reduction of over 27,272 tonnes per year. Developed under a captive model, the solar power system reflects a broader commitment to sustainable energy practices and enhanced operational efficiency within the commercial real estate sector.

Accelerating the Shift to Greener Workspaces

The first phase of the project, now commissioned at 20 MW DC, incorporates bifacial solar modules integrated with string inverters to optimize energy generation. A planned second phase of 50 MW at the same site will further strengthen the partnership and scale the deployment of renewable energy solutions at this location.

“This installation demonstrates our commitment to leveraging the transformative potential of solar energy to cultivate a sustainable future for coworking spaces,” said K.R. Harinarayan, CEO of U-Solar Clean Energy Pvt. Ltd. “The installations will actively reduce the carbon footprint while delivering substantial cost savings for the buildings. A constant energy supply is a crucial factor for these spaces, and adopting a solar power system with tailored energy management solutions ensures hassle-free energy delivery for their customers.”

Powering Growth with Cost-Effective Clean Energy

Transitioning to captive solar energy enables substantial reductions in electricity expenses—one of the key operational cost components in commercial real estate. The project ensures stable and predictable power tariffs, supporting cost-effective operations while maintaining high levels of energy reliability across workspace facilities.
