Waaree Transpower Secures 1.27 GW Inverter Duty Transformer Order from Leading Solar EPC Company

India, 23rd December, 2025: Waaree Transpower, a key enabler in India’s clean energy infrastructure ecosystem, has achieved a major industry milestone by securing IDT orders exceeding ₹100 crore within the first month of launch. The orders, aggregating 1275 MVA (1.27 GW), have been placed by a leading Solar EPC company for deployment across high-capacity solar projects nationwide.

This achievement comes at a time when India is witnessing its fastest-ever renewable expansion, having added over 10+ GW of solar capacity in FY25 alone and targeting 50 GW annual renewable additions to meet the 500 GW non-fossil capacity goal by 2030. As developers scale aggressively, demand for high-efficiency, grid-resilient electrical infrastructure has surged- placing Waaree Transpower at the forefront of critical national capacity building.

Waaree Transpower’s Inverter Duty Transformers (IDTs) – engineered to withstand high-frequency switching, harmonic-rich environments, and variable irradiation conditions- have become a preferred choice for developers seeking long-term reliability, stable power evacuation, and superior grid compliance.

“Crossing the 1.27 GW mark in transformer orders within a month is a strong endorsement of Waaree Transpower’s capability to support India’s fast-growing solar ecosystem. This milestone reflects our team’s engineering excellence, disciplined execution, and customer centricity. As India expands its renewable capacity at record speed, we are committed to delivering reliable, grid-resilient electrical infrastructure that meets the evolving needs of developers and strengthens the nation’s clean energy transition.” – Mr. Ankit Doshi, Director, Waaree Transpower.

Strengthening India’s Solar Backbone:

1.27 GW Order in One Month
A landmark order that mirrors the pace at which India is scaling renewables. It strengthens Waaree Transpower’s position as one of the sector’s most reliable partners.

Nationwide Deployment for Utility-Scale Projects
The transformers will be deployed across multiple states, supporting India’s rising utility-scale pipeline- estimated at 70+ GW under development. These installations will boost grid stability, enhance power evacuation, and support higher renewable penetration.

High-Performance IDTs Designed for the Next Decade of Solar
Created to meet the requirements of advanced string and central inverter architectures, Waaree Transpower’s IDTs ensure:

  • Lower energy losses
  • Enhanced thermal management
  • Increased durability in high-temperature zones
  • Improved system uptime for developers
