In a recent update, the National Program Implementation Agency (NPIA) has issued clarifications regarding the multi-state vendor registration process under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana to Busily Yojana. This follows the earlier order dated May 29, 2024, which introduced a revised process for national vendor registration. The updated guidelines allow vendors who are registered in one state to apply for multi-state registration, provided they meet specific criteria, including submitting a suitable bank guarantee.

The new rules state that vendors who are already registered in one state as a state vendor can now apply for registration in additional states under the multi-state registration option. To do so, they must submit a bank guarantee of ₹2.5 lakh for each additional state. This bank guarantee must be valid for at least five years from the date of registration. The NPIA will process these applications for multi-state registration, ensuring that all necessary conditions are met for each additional state.

For vendors applying for multi-state registration, the process will be overseen by both the NPIA and the respective state authorities. While the vendor’s existing state registration will continue to be monitored by the concerned state distribution company, the NPIA will be responsible for managing the bank guarantee validity and empanelment status concerning the additional states. The bank guarantee for the additional states will be monitored by the NPIA, while the terms and conditions related to the original state registration, including validity and monitoring, will remain the responsibility of the respective state authority.

The clarified process aims to streamline vendor registrations for multiple states, making it easier for vendors to expand their operations while ensuring that they continue to meet the requirements set forth by the program. This update emphasizes that all other terms and conditions of vendor registration and management will remain the same, with the only change being the inclusion of additional states for multi-state registration.
