Vantage Energy has renewed its retail electricity supply agreement with Bounty Plus Inc., a major division of Bounty Fresh Group Holdings, to provide stable and renewable power to seven poultry facilities across Luzon. The agreement will support the energy needs of operations located in Bataan, Tarlac, and Pangasinan, which operate under the well-known Chooks-to-Go and Bounty Fresh brands.

The deal is part of a broader effort to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability in agricultural operations, as Bounty Plus scales its clean energy usage to match the demands of its expanding livestock production. The renewed partnership underscores the vital role of retail electricity suppliers in enabling businesses to access cost-efficient and environmentally responsible power solutions.

Carl Benedick Chung, Senior Vice President and Deputy Agriculture Head of Bounty Plus, highlighted the importance of reliable renewable energy to their operations. “As our need for renewable energy continues to grow, Vantage Energy takes active steps to ensure that it is available to us,” he said. “This shared commitment to renewable power is a bright spot in this partnership, which we hope will continue for years to come.”

Bounty Plus, known for being the first in the Philippines to receive the “Reared Without Antibiotics” certification from Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance, continues to align its energy strategies with its long-standing focus on food safety and responsible farming practices.

Vantage Energy, the retail electricity supply arm of Meralco, is delivering a customized energy solution under the new contract, which includes competitive pricing and access to renewable energy sources. The solution is designed to address both operational needs and environmental goals, enhancing cost-effectiveness while reducing carbon emissions.

“This venture strengthens our foundation for growth, and our commitment to delivering exceptionally superior services deepens while ensuring sustainable operations beneficial not only to Bounty Plus Inc. as an entity, but also to the communities we serve,” said Ernesto M. Cabral, President of Vantage Energy.

The renewed supply agreement reinforces the growing influence of renewable energy in supporting rural industries and food producers. It also demonstrates how retail electricity suppliers are enabling sectors like agriculture to reduce dependency on fossil fuels, improve power reliability, and contribute to national sustainability objectives.

Through this partnership, Bounty Plus advances its dual mandate of promoting food security and environmental responsibility—ensuring that its production infrastructure is powered by energy solutions that are both dependable and green.
