Gruner Renewable Energy Welcomes Rajesh Gupta As EVP To Boost Leadership Team

Gruner Renewable Energy, a leader in sustainable energy, has welcomed Mr. Rajesh Gupta as its new Executive Vice President for Engineering, Quality Control, and Commissioning. Mr. Gupta brings over 37 years of experience in the Oil & Gas sector, making him an invaluable addition to the team. An alumnus of NIT Surat (B.E. in Civil Engineering) and the University of Roorkee (M.E. in Transportation Engineering), he has built a stellar career in designing, executing, and maintaining complex Oil & Gas infrastructure.

Starting his journey with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (Pipelines Division), Mr. Gupta rose to the rank of Executive Director (Constructions). He played a key role in major projects, including cross-country petroleum pipelines, oil depots, underground LPG storage, and crude oil terminals across India. Post-retirement, he transitioned to consultancy, focusing on infrastructure design and execution. In September 2023, he joined Gruner Renewable Energy to further strengthen its engineering and project capabilities. In his role, Mr. Gupta oversees engineering, quality control, and project commissioning, ensuring timely and efficient delivery. He is dedicated to upholding high standards and driving Gruner Renewable Energy’s mission to advance sustainable energy solutions.

Mr. Rajesh Gupta’s appointment highlights Gruner Renewable Energy’s dedication to excellence and innovation, strengthening its position as a leader in renewable energy. The company has recently secured contracts to develop 11 compressed biogas plants, each valued at around ₹100 crores. These plants are projected to produce a total of 88,000 tons of compressed biogas (CBG) annually. This initiative also aims to drive significant growth in employment within the biofuel sector. Gruner Renewable Energy plans to increase its workforce from 1,200 to over 5,000 employees, including on-site workers, by the end of the 2024-2025 financial year.
