The National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), an autonomous body under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, has announced openings for two Project Coordinators under the “Innovative Projects” component of the PM-Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana. These positions are contractual and based at the NISE campus in Gurugram, Haryana. NISE, functioning as an apex national centre for solar research and technology development, engages in advancing solar energy technologies in collaboration with other research bodies and industry. The initial engagement period is one year, extendable by another year based on performance and institutional needs.

Applicants must be Indian nationals with qualifications in Renewable Energy or related disciplines. For candidates with B.E./B.Tech, at least two years of relevant post-qualification experience in technical documentation, research coordination, or project management is required, while M.E./M.Tech candidates do not need prior experience. Proficiency in MS Office, technical report writing, and professional communication is essential. The remuneration is set at ₹50,000 per month, with an age limit of 35 years.

The role involves managing proposal tracking, documentation, and database updates; coordinating communications with applicants, experts, and committees; drafting meeting notes, progress reports, and compliance checklists; and supporting post-award project monitoring, audit trails, and data collation. Engagement is full-time, with working hours from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM on weekdays, and candidates may be called to work on weekends or holidays if required. They will be entitled to 1.5 days of casual leave per month, on a pro-rata basis. No TA/DA will be provided for interviews, and no application fees are required.

The selection process will involve screening by a committee based on qualifications and relevant experience, followed by interviews. Mere possession of the required qualifications does not guarantee an interview call. Original documents and self-attested copies must be produced at the interview. The institute maintains full intellectual property rights over all data and deliverables, and candidates are prohibited from sharing or publishing any related information without written consent. The engagement can be terminated by either side with 15 days’ notice.

Interested candidates must submit their applications in the prescribed format via email to recruitment.nise@nise.res.in within 21 days of the advertisement’s publication on the NISE website. Applications should include the signed form, CV, and supporting documents in a single PDF file, with the subject line “Application for Project Coordinator PM Surya Ghar Innovative Projects.” All announcements and updates will be posted on the NISE website. Any disputes arising from the engagement process will fall under the jurisdiction of the Punjab & Haryana High Court, Chandigarh.

The institute warns against attempts to influence the selection process or submission of false information, stating such actions will result in disqualification and possible legal action. The Director General of NISE will have the final authority in all matters related to eligibility, selection, and interview conduct.
