Jinko ESS, a global leading energy storage company, today announced a strategic partnership with Mauritania’s renowned bottled water brand TIJIRIT to deploy an integrated industrial and commercial solar-plus-storage system at its factory. The project will utilize 10 sets of SunGiga 215kWh intelligent energy storage systems (total capacity: 2.15MWh) paired with 1.3MW Tiger Neo high-efficiency PV modules, completely replacing the factory’s diesel generators.

Engineered for extreme desert environments, Jinko ESS’s SunGiga system demonstrates exceptional resilience: it maintains a battery cell temperature variance within ±2°C even at extreme temperatures of 55°C. With an IP65 protection rating against sand erosion and the proprietary smart energy management platform enables coordination among PV generation, energy storage, and loads. With the advantage of high bifaciality of Tiger Neo series, the system ensures stable and maximum operation under Mauritania’s annual 3,000+ hours of sunlight.

Asif SW, Head of Jinko ESS for Middle East, Africa and Central Asia (MEA&CA) stated: “The SunGiga system’s intelligent regulation capabilities coupled with Tiger Neo modules’ 85% bi-facial ratio, provides the TIJIRIT factory with 24/7 stable and clean power in an off-grid area. This successful model will be extended to 11 off-grid industrial parks across North Africa, setting a benchmark for commercial and industrial energy transition in Africa. Jinko ESS will continue empowering the MEA region with innovative solutions.”

This collaboration marks a significant breakthrough for Jinko ESS in the MENA market. The customized solution not only ensures constant-temperature, constant-humidity clean power for TIJIRIT’s bottled water production line but also supports the brand’s premium positioning as “Zero-Carbon Water Source.” Simultaneously, it provides a replicable commercial template for exploring renewable energy applications locally.
