The Enugu State Government has announced a one-week extension for the submission of proposals under its Renewable Energy Project Development initiative (REDSEM), implemented in partnership with the Nigerian Energy Support Programme (NESP), GIZ Nigeria, and ECOWAS.

The programme seeks credible and experienced solar mini-grid developers to deliver innovative projects aimed at expanding electricity access in unserved and underserved communities across the state.

The call for proposals targets the development of solar mini-grids capable of supplying at least 1,500 new customers, with capacities ranging between 0.2MW and 1.0MW. Successful developers will receive in-kind grant support covering up to 70–80 percent of capital expenditure (CAPEX).

Site selection is to be made using the Nigerian SE4ALL geospatial database.

The new deadline for submission of applications is Friday, 22 August 2025, at 5:00 PM.

Developers are required to submit both hard and soft copies of their proposals to the following address:

Chairman/CEO, EERC
Office No. 2 Forest Close, Off Forest Crescent, GRA, Enugu State.

Further details are available on the Enugu State Electricity Regulatory Commission (EERC) website: .
