TCL Solar, Powernsun Partner on 300MW Project to Drive Solar Expansion in Middle East and Africa

TCL Solar and Power & Sun Solar Equipments Trading LLC (Powernsun), a leading renewable energy firm in the UAE, have signed a strategic distribution agreement at the 2025 Intersolar Europe exhibition in Munich.

Under the agreement, TCL Solar will supply 300 MW of high-efficiency photovoltaic (PV) modules to markets in the Middle East, Africa, and Eurasia. Powernsun has been appointed as TCL Solar’s exclusive regional partner to jointly develop the distributed solar market across these regions.

Wang Wei, General Manager of TCL Solar’s Overseas Business, described the partnership as a key step in expanding TCL Solar’s presence along the Belt and Road Initiative. “Over the next three years, we will leverage the Middle East as a pivot point to expand into Africa, enabling TCL Solar’s PV system solutions to benefit more emerging economies,” he said.
