ISDRR, Envision Energy India, & Amreli District Administration Launch Project Jeevan Setu At Babra Taluka Panchayat To Improve Health, Nutrition, Education, Sanitation, & Community Empowerment In Gujarat

The Institute for Sustainable Development, Research and Reforms (ISDRR), in partnership with Envision Energy India and the District Administration of Amreli, has inaugurated Project Jeevan Setu – A Bridge to Better Health and Wellbeing at the Taluka Panchayat premises in Babra, Amreli. The initiative is aimed at improving health, nutrition, education, sanitation, and community empowerment in Babra block and surrounding areas, working closely with the ICDS, Health, Education, and Panchayati Raj departments.

The program aligns with the 8th Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2025, a national campaign focused on combating malnutrition and promoting comprehensive child health and nutrition. Project Jeevan Setu introduces a range of activities to address local health and development challenges while encouraging community participation and ownership. Key initiatives under the project include early childhood care and education programs at Anganwadi centres, school health and hygiene campaigns to instill lifelong healthy habits, and anaemia prevention through nutrition education and iron-folic acid supplementation.

Special health camps for women will offer screenings for hypertension, diabetes, breast cancer, and cervical cancer. Local food-based exhibitions are being organized to promote balanced diets and proper nutrition. Additionally, sanitation and cleanliness initiatives will involve active community engagement to improve local environments.

Speaking at the launch, John Shelton, CFO and Head of CSR at Envision Energy India, highlighted the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainable community development. “At Envision Energy, we are deeply committed to empowering communities and improving quality of life through sustainable interventions in education, environment, health, nutrition, and sanitation. Project Jeevan Setu exemplifies our belief that true progress is always driven by community,” he said.

As part of its long-term commitment, Envision Energy India announced the adoption of 99 Anganwadi centres across Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh under Project Jeevan Setu. This effort is part of the company’s broader CSR framework, which spans education and skill development, health and sanitation, environmental sustainability, and heritage preservation. These initiatives also align with Envision’s mission to support industrial decarbonization and contribute to India’s Net Zero targets.

The launch event featured a Nutrition Gallery Walk showcasing locally prepared healthy foods, recognition of women leaders in nutrition, and addresses from local government representatives emphasizing the importance of collective action in improving community health outcomes. Envision Energy, a global leader in green technology solutions, operates across smart wind turbines, energy storage, and green hydrogen solutions. The company develops integrated solutions for energy transformation and manages the Envision-Hongshan Carbon-Neutral Fund. It also owns the Envision Racing Formula E Team, which was the 2023 Formula E Teams’ Champion.

Recognized for its sustainability leadership, Envision Energy has received the EcoVadis Gold Medal, CDP’s “A-List” distinction, and was featured in Fortune’s Change the World list. Headquartered in China, Envision has R&D and engineering centres in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Denmark, and India. The company achieved carbon neutrality across its global operations in 2022 and is targeting value chain-wide carbon neutrality by 2028.
