emsys VPP And Pure Energy Expand Partnership To Enter German Balancing Power Market

emsys VPP and Pure Energy have strengthened their long-standing partnership by expanding their collaboration into the balancing power market. The two companies have been working together since 2016 in the field of direct marketing, and this new development marks an important next step in their cooperation.

Pure Energy is now entering the German balancing power market for the first time using emsys VPP’s well-established Virtual Power Plant platform. Along with flexibility from wind and solar sources, the companies will focus strongly on integrating battery storage systems to support the provision of system services. Pure Energy is also planning to expand into additional European markets such as Estonia, where emsys VPP already has significant experience in connecting and managing power plants for both wholesale and balancing power operations.

Pure Energy considers this expanded collaboration a key strategic move for the years ahead. According to Anduvap Servet Akgun, Founder and Managing Director of Pure Energy, entering the balancing power sector in Germany and other European markets is a major priority. He noted that emsys VPP brings extensive technical expertise and reliability, making them an ideal partner for this next phase of growth. He added that Pure Energy looks forward to pursuing new joint projects with its long-trusted partner.

When entering new markets, emsys VPP often relies on established partnerships to ensure efficient implementation of regulatory, technical, and market requirements. This approach supports the smooth integration of renewable energy in different countries and strengthens international collaboration.

Dr. Ulrich Focken, Managing Director of emsys VPP, highlighted that long-standing relationships are essential for building confidence and maintaining speed—both critical factors when expanding into new regions. He emphasized that emsys VPP works closely with customers to develop solutions that meet transmission system operators’ requirements reliably.

By deepening their cooperation, emsys VPP and Pure Energy reaffirm their shared goal of advancing the marketing and utilization of flexibility from renewable energy across Europe. Their joint efforts aim to enhance system stability and support the ongoing transformation of energy networks throughout the continent.
