7th Edition of Solar & Storage Expo Maharashtra 2026 Strengthens the State’s Clean Energy Leadership

The 7th Edition of the Solar & Storage Expo Maharashtra 2026 concluded successfully, reaffirming its position as a key platform driving Maharashtra’s solar and energy storage ecosystem. With participation from 300+ industry leaders, senior government officials, utilities, developers, EPCs, and technology providers, the Expo highlighted the state’s accelerating transition toward scalable and future-ready clean energy solutions.

The event opened with a Welcome Address by Ms. Smriti Charan, Director – Sales, FirstView Group, followed by an Special Address by Shri Vinod S. Sirsat, General Manager (Solar), Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA), who outlined Maharashtra’s solar roadmap, policy priorities, and investment outlook.

A key highlight was The Signature State Dialogue, featuring Mr. Sanjay S. Kurhade, Chief Engineer, MAHAGENCO, and Dr. Prashant Khankhoje, Strategic Energy Advisor & EC Member, Mahratta Chamber of Commerce Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA), offering strategic insights into policy alignment, power generation, and industry collaboration.

The conference featured two focused panel discussions: “Building a Solar-Ready Maharashtra: Leveraging PM KUSUM, Strengthening Policy, Financing & Investment Strategies for Scalable Solar Growth” and “Innovating Solar & Storage: Digital Technologies and Energy Storage Innovations for Rooftop and Utility-Scale Solar in Maharashtra,” driving meaningful dialogue on policy, financing, digitalization, and storage-led growth.

The knowledge agenda was further enriched by a presentation from Mr. Kishor Shinde, Additional Executive Engineer, Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) on “Transforming Energy Access — An Overview of the Swayampoorna Maharashtra SMART Solar Scheme,”.

The exhibition floor remained vibrant throughout the day, showcasing advanced solar, storage, and digital energy solutions, while enabling top-tier networking and high-impact business interactions. The Expo concluded with the Maharashtra Energy Excellence Awards, recognizing outstanding leadership and innovation across the solar and storage value chain—further cementing the event’s role as a flagship platform in Maharashtra’s clean energy journey.
