Solar Tech Weekly: Korea Targets Next-Gen Batteries by 2029; Enerman Digitizes PM-KUSUM with RMS SCADA and More…

South Korea has unveiled an ambitious roadmap to commercialize next-generation lithium-metal and all-solid-state batteries by 2029. Backed by structured public–private collaboration, the program focuses on ultra-high energy density and enhanced safety performance. The initiative signals intensifying global competition to move beyond lithium-ion limitations and strengthen future mobility and grid-scale storage technologies.

Enerman is accelerating the digital transformation of India’s PM-KUSUM solar projects through its RMS SCADA platform. The solution enables real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, and performance optimization across distributed solar assets. As decentralized solar deployment expands, digital infrastructure is becoming critical for ensuring uptime, efficiency, and transparent project management.

A pressure-driven, water-based carbon capture process is emerging as a chemical-free alternative to conventional amine systems. By leveraging physical absorption principles, the technology aims to enhance CO₂ separation efficiency for industrial emitters. If scalable, it could support decarbonisation strategies across cement, steel, hydrogen, and thermal power sectors.

Fraunhofer ISE has achieved new world records for tandem solar module efficiency at 34.2% and 31.3%, pushing the boundaries of photovoltaic performance. The breakthrough highlights the growing maturity of tandem cell architectures and their potential to redefine next-generation solar module efficiency benchmarks globally.

Growatt’s SPE hybrid inverter series is strengthening residential energy resilience across India. Designed for hybrid solar systems with battery integration, the solution enhances backup reliability and energy optimization for homes. As rooftop solar adoption rises, hybrid inverters are playing a key role in distributed energy transition.

Intersolar Middle East 2026 will take place in parallel with the 50th edition of Middle East Energy in Dubai from April 7–9. The co-location strengthens the region’s clean energy trade ecosystem, bringing together global solar, storage, and power sector stakeholders under one platform.
