European Energy has signed an agreement with solar construction company Solar Polaris to provide operations and maintenance (O&M) services for the 70 MW Bredebro solar park in Denmark. The partnership highlights the growing need for specialized operational support as utility-scale renewable energy projects continue to expand across Europe.
Under the agreement, European Energy will be responsible for a wide range of technical operations and maintenance activities at the solar park. These services include remote monitoring, performance reporting, maintenance planning and coordination, as well as on-site repair and technical support. The company will carry out both preventive maintenance to reduce potential issues and corrective maintenance to address any operational challenges that arise, helping ensure the facility operates efficiently and reliably over the long term.
The services will be delivered through European Energy’s in-house Asset Management and Operations division, which manages renewable energy assets across several European markets and other international locations. The business unit provides both technical and commercial services designed to maximize the performance, availability, and value of renewable energy projects throughout their operational lifespan.
Located in Bredebro, the 70 MW solar park is one of Denmark’s larger solar installations and reflects the continued growth of corporate-backed renewable energy investments in the country. As more large-scale solar assets come online, project owners are increasingly seeking experienced partners that can provide the operational expertise required to maintain high levels of performance and efficiency.
Jacob Saust Johansen, Executive Vice President and Head of Asset Management & Operations at European Energy, said that the renewable energy sector is becoming increasingly complex as project portfolios grow in size and scale. He noted that asset owners are placing greater emphasis on specialized operational expertise to maximize asset performance and availability.

The company currently supports a broad portfolio of solar and wind projects, offering services that help asset owners optimize operations and maintain strong project performance throughout the lifecycle of their investments.Solar Polaris also views the partnership as an important step in supporting its growing presence in the utility-scale solar sector.
Managing Director Karsten Hillmann said the company has developed extensive operational experience through the management of approximately 150 rooftop solar installations. However, as Solar Polaris has expanded into larger utility-scale projects, the need for greater operational scale, specialized expertise, and long-term asset optimization has increased considerably.
According to Hillmann, partnering with European Energy enables Solar Polaris to combine its engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) expertise with a proven operations and maintenance platform. This approach is expected to support strong technical performance while maintaining cost-efficient operations at the Bredebro solar park.He also described the project as the beginning of what the company hopes will become a broader long-term collaboration.
Solar Polaris recently completed another 50 MWp solar park and is currently constructing a 115 MWp project scheduled for commissioning in autumn 2027. With several large-scale developments progressing, the company sees significant opportunities to deepen its cooperation with European Energy and continue delivering long-term value for renewable energy asset owners.
