NTPC Limited has invited bids for a new project under its Central Procurement Group at the Sipat Super Thermal Power Station. The tender is for the construction of a shed over critical equipment for a 20 MW ground solar system at Auraiya Gas Power Station in Uttar Pradesh. The project will be financed through domestic commercial borrowings or NTPC’s own sources. The bidding process follows a domestic competitive bidding format with a single-stage, single-envelope system.

The estimated cost of the project is ₹20,01,936.45, excluding GST. The contract period is set for four months. The bidding process is open to Class-I local suppliers only, in line with the government’s Public Procurement (Preference to Make in India) policy. MSME benefits do not apply to this works contract, and bid splitting is not permitted.

NTPC has announced that the bid submission for the shed construction at the 20 MW solar project in Auraiya will begin on 10th February 2025 and end on 19th February 2025. Interested bidders must ensure timely submission through NTPC’s e-procurement portal, complying with all guidelines and requirements.

The bidding process includes the submission of a techno-commercial proposal and a price proposal. Only the techno-commercial proposals will be opened initially, and bidders must comply with the specified submission guidelines. All bids must include a bid security deposit, which can be paid online or via bank guarantee if the amount exceeds ₹1,00,000. Failure to provide the required security deposit will result in bid rejection.

The tender requires strict compliance with NTPC’s policies, including safety regulations, fraud prevention, and anti-bribery rules. Bidders must also adhere to the restrictions on procurement from entities linked to countries that share a land border with India. Any bidder not meeting these requirements will be disqualified. NTPC reserves the right to amend the bidding process at any stage and may issue corrigendums if necessary.

The contract will be executed under NTPC’s general and special conditions of contract. The bid submission deadline, opening date, and other relevant details are available on the e-procurement portal. No physical copies of the bidding documents will be issued, and all communication regarding the tender will be conducted online. NTPC retains the right to reject any or all bids without providing a reason.

The bidding process is strictly a no-deviation tender, meaning bidders must fully comply with all terms and conditions. Any deviations will lead to automatic disqualification. NTPC encourages all interested parties to carefully review the bid requirements and submit their proposals within the given timeframe. The organization aims to ensure transparency and fairness in the procurement process, aligning with its commitment to efficient and sustainable energy infrastructure development.
