Perigus Energy Acquires Rights to Olpe-Rehringhausen Wind Farm Project in Germany

Perigus Energy Deutschland GmbH has acquired the project rights for the Olpe-Rehringhausen wind farm from ABO Energy GmbH & Co. KGaA under an agreement signed between the two companies.

Following the acquisition, Perigus Energy will take responsibility for the further development and implementation of the wind farm project.

Three 7 MW Wind Turbines Approved

Planning for the Olpe-Rehringhausen project is already at an advanced stage. On March 26, 2026, the Olpe district in North Rhine-Westphalia granted approval for the construction and operation of three wind turbines, each with a capacity of 7 MW, giving the project a total planned capacity of 21 MW.

The turbines will be located within a designated priority wind energy area in the Rother Stein forest near the B55 federal highway.

Project Proximity Creates Development Synergies

Perigus Energy is also developing the Windfart wind farm approximately three kilometres east of the Olpe-Rehringhausen project.

According to the company, the close proximity of the two projects could create synergies across planning, construction and subsequent operations, supporting more efficient project implementation.

“The acquisition of Olpe-Rehringhausen underlines our ability to secure attractive projects even in the current market environment,” said Stefan Bachmaier, Managing Director of Perigus Energy Germany.

The acquisition further expands Perigus Energy’s wind project portfolio in Germany and strengthens its development presence in North Rhine-Westphalia.
