Adani Green Energy Crosses 20 GW Operational Renewable Capacity With 139 MW Khavda Solar Project

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has commissioned a 139 MW solar power project at Khavda in Gujarat, further expanding its renewable energy generation portfolio. The project has been developed through Adani Green Energy Twenty Six A Limited (AGE26AL), a wholly owned step-down subsidiary of AGEL.

The company commercially operationalized the solar project at 2:05 PM on September 1, 2026, after receiving the necessary regulatory and operational clearances. Following the commissioning, AGEL informed the BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited about the development in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

With the addition of the 139 MW project, AGEL’s total operational renewable energy generation capacity has increased to 20,280.80 MW, crossing the significant 20,000 MW milestone. The company also reported that its operational Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) capacity has reached 3,551 MWh.

The Khavda project adds to AGEL’s growing renewable energy presence in Gujarat, particularly within the Khavda renewable energy development zone, which is emerging as one of India’s largest clean energy hubs.

The regulatory disclosure was signed by Pragnesh Darji, Company Secretary of Adani Green Energy Limited, from the company’s corporate headquarters in Ahmedabad.

The commissioning reflects AGEL’s continued focus on expanding large-scale solar and renewable energy infrastructure. The company is scaling up generation and energy storage assets to support India’s growing clean energy requirements and strengthen its position in the renewable energy sector.
