NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited (NVVN), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has invited online bids for the development of a 580 kW grid-connected rooftop solar power project at NIB Noida. The tender has been issued under domestic competitive bidding through a single-stage, two-envelope process, requiring bidders to submit separate techno-commercial and price bids.
The tender, identified by bidding document number NVVN/C&M/RE-543/2026-27, aims to appoint an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor to execute the rooftop solar project. The selected contractor will be responsible for the complete design, engineering, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the solar power system. The scope also includes operation and maintenance (O&M) services for 10 years after commissioning.
The contractor will additionally be required to obtain all necessary statutory permits, approvals and licences and arrange net metering for the project. These responsibilities cover the key stages of project implementation and subsequent maintenance.
Participation in the tender is restricted to eligible bidders enlisted with NVVN who qualify as Class-I or Class-II local suppliers under the Government of India’s Make in India policy. The tender also incorporates applicable restrictions and registration requirements for bidders from countries sharing a land border with India, including entities having technology transfer arrangements with organisations from such countries.
NVVN has made a site visit mandatory for all participating bidders. Applicants must conduct a site survey before submitting their bids and provide a formal site visit undertaking on their company letterhead using Attachment-3N. Failure to submit this undertaking will result in the rejection of the bid. The company has provided coordination details and authorised representatives to facilitate site visits before bid submission.
The tender requires bidders to submit an earnest money deposit (EMD) of ₹2 lakh as bid security. Bank guarantees must be submitted electronically through the National e-Governance Services Limited (NeSL) platform, as physical bank guarantees are not accepted. Alternatively, bidders can transfer the required amount electronically to NVVN’s designated ICICI Bank account and upload proof of payment to the e-tendering portal. The tender document does not specify a separate Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG) amount.
The bid submission schedule, query deadline and techno-commercial bid opening date will be available through the Government e-Procurement portal. No pre-bid conference is scheduled, while the price bid opening date will be communicated separately to qualified bidders through system-generated emails.
Interested bidders have been advised to regularly check the official GePNIC portal at for tender updates, revised schedules and further instructions.
