Dubai Electricity and Water Authority’s Sustainability and Innovation Centre is set to organise the second cycle of the CleanTech Innovators Exhibition from February 24 to 26, 2025, as part of its participation in ‘UAE Innovates 2025’. The event aims to showcase cutting-edge technologies and solutions that contribute to building a sustainable future, while also featuring specialised seminars with participation from local and international experts.

The exhibition will bring together industry leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs, and researchers to present advancements in key areas such as green hydrogen, sustainability, digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI), solar power, and energy storage technologies. These sectors play a crucial role in tackling climate change and accelerating the transition toward a low-carbon economy.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, managing director and chief executive officer of DEWA, emphasised the event’s role in reinforcing Dubai and the UAE’s position as a global hub for innovation. He highlighted DEWA’s commitment to fostering cooperation between government entities, private sector companies, investors, and startups to drive projects that align with the country’s net-zero ambitions and the energy transition. He further noted that DEWA is intensifying its efforts during ‘UAE Innovates 2025’ to maximise the use of technology in the clean and renewable energy sector while promoting sustainable innovation as a fundamental pillar of future development.

Waleed bin Salman, executive vice president of business development and excellence at DEWA, stated that the Sustainability and Innovation Centre serves as a global platform to explore the latest advancements in clean and renewable energy. He noted that the first edition of CleanTech Innovators was a significant success, celebrating sustainability-driven innovations across multiple vital sectors.

As part of ‘UAE Innovates 2025’, DEWA’s Sustainability and Innovation Centre will also organise several activities, including the CleanTech Connect Programme, featuring prominent speakers, and the CleanTech Hackathon, aimed at fostering collaboration and driving innovative solutions in clean energy.
