Driving Solar Growth And Sustainable Energy Solutions In India – Akshat Jain, CEO, KLK Ventures

  • With over 30 years in the solar industry, how has KLK Ventures evolved, and what key milestones define its journey?

KLK Ventures began as K.L. Khanna Gears Industries, specializing in manufacturing heavy industrial gears. Recognizing the potential of renewable energy, we transitioned into the solar sector, becoming a leading EPC contractor and solar product manufacturer. Over the years, we have achieved significant milestones, including the establishment of our solar module manufacturing facility and lithium battery production line. We have supplied and installed over 15 MW of solar power plants, 150,000+ solar streetlights, and 1500+ solar water pumping systems.

A major breakthrough has been our efforts to secure ALMM (Approved List of Models & Manufacturers) inclusion, which will enable us to expand our solar module sales. Additionally, we have launched a new manufacturing facility in Bihar to meet the growing demand for solar PV modules, streetlights, and LiFePo4 battery packs. Our journey reflects a strong commitment to innovation and sustainability in the renewable energy sector.

  • KLK offers a range of solar solutions, including rooftop systems, streetlights, and water pumps. How do these innovations address the energy needs of households and communities?

Our diverse solar solutions cater to both urban and rural communities. Our solar rooftop systems help households and businesses reduce electricity costs while promoting clean energy usage. Solar streetlights provide reliable illumination in villages and city streets, enhancing safety and reducing dependence on conventional power. Under initiatives like PM KUSUM, we are deploying solar water pumps to provide farmers with a sustainable and cost-effective irrigation solution, reducing their reliance on diesel-powered pumps. With our advanced lithium battery technology, we ensure efficient energy storage, making solar power more reliable and accessible. These innovations collectively contribute to India’s clean energy transition while improving the quality of life for thousands of people.

  • KLK has installed multiple solar power plants and 150,000+ streetlights. Can you share how these installations have contributed to sustainability and improved lives?

Through our solar projects, we are actively reducing carbon footprints and promoting clean energy adoption. Our solar power plants have significantly cut down energy costs for businesses and households while reducing dependence on fossil fuels. Our solar streetlights have illuminated thousands of rural and urban areas, making roads safer at night and fostering community development. The solar water pumps under PM KUSUM have provided sustainable irrigation solutions to farmers, leading to increased agricultural productivity. Additionally, our efforts under various government projects (such as BREDA, JAKEDA, UPNEDA, etc.) have further accelerated solar adoption in key regions. Each of these initiatives not only supports India’s clean energy goals but also transforms communities by providing reliable and cost-effective energy solutions.

  • With a state-of-the-art solar module and battery manufacturing facility, how is KLK Ventures ensuring product quality and advancing solar technology?

At KLK Ventures, we adhere to the highest industry standards to ensure superior product quality. Our new manufacturing facility is equipped with cutting-edge technology to produce high-efficiency solar PV modules, streetlights, and LiFePo4 battery packs. We have an in-house testing facility that ensures every product meets strict quality benchmarks before deployment. With ALMM approval in progress, we are poised to expand our presence in the solar module market, offering durable and high-performance solar solutions for both domestic and international projects.

  • What are KLK Ventures’ upcoming plans, and how do you see the future of solar energy shaping up in India and beyond?

KLK Ventures is committed to expanding its solar manufacturing capabilities and strengthening its footprint in the renewable energy sector. Our focus is on scaling up module production, advancing battery storage technology, and increasing participation in government initiatives like PM KUSUM and UPNEDA. With growing government support and rising awareness about clean energy, solar power is the future. We aim to introduce more efficient and affordable solar products to make renewable energy accessible to all. Our focus remains on innovation, sustainability, and creating a greener tomorrow for future generations.
