Gunkul Engineering Public Company Limited (SET: GUNKUL) has announced the appointment of Naruechon Dhumrongpiyawut as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Dhumrongpiyawut, who previously served as Chief Operating Officer for Sustainable Energy Business and Strategic Investment, steps into the leadership role with a vision to drive expansion in both domestic and international markets.

Under her leadership, Gunkul Engineering aims for a revenue growth of 10-15% in 2025, building upon last year’s THB 9.4 billion revenue and THB 1.66 billion net profit. Over the next three years, the company targets total revenues exceeding THB 35 billion, supported by an investment budget of THB 12 billion from 2025 to 2027. This capital will be directed towards renewable energy projects, mergers, and acquisitions, reinforcing the company’s position as a leading player in the energy sector.

A key pillar of Dhumrongpiyawut’s strategy is the expansion of green energy production capacity to 2,000 megawatts (MW) by 2027. The company is actively developing solar and wind power projects, with a focus on securing Direct Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) and upcoming energy tenders. Gunkul Engineering is also positioning itself to capture a 15% market share in the renewable energy sector.

Dhumrongpiyawut brings extensive industry experience to her new role. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Chulalongkorn University and a Master of Management from Harvard University. Her career includes positions at Finansa Securities Ltd., Kasikorn Securities Public Co. Ltd., and an independent directorship at DoHome Public Co., Ltd. Additionally, she is the founder of Gunkul Spectrum, an initiative focused on innovative energy solutions.

Established in 1982 by Gunkul Dhumrongpiyawut, Gunkul Engineering began as a supplier of electrical equipment and has since evolved into a major player in the renewable energy industry. With Dhumrongpiyawut at the helm, the company is set to accelerate its green energy initiatives, further strengthening its role in Thailand’s sustainable energy transition.
