A decade ago, solar manufacturing faced significant environmental challenges; struggling to meet standards for freshwater use and protection. Today, the industry has made remarkable progress through innovations like water recycling systems, real-time monitoring, and advanced treatment methods, reducing water risks and fostering more sustainable practices.

Each manufacturing plant sets clear water consumption intensity reduction goals, regularly assesses water risks, and employs advanced recycling technologies to minimize water consumption intensity. Through equipment modification, technology upgrading, and reclaimed water reuse, Trinasolar has successfully improved water efficiency in production and operation.

According to the United Nations World Water Development Report 2024, energy production accounts for 10%-15% of global water withdrawals, with traditional energy sources being particularly water-intensive.
