The Abu Dhabi Sustainability Group (ADSG) and Capital Coalition International have launched a groundbreaking Continuing Professional Development (CPD) course on Natural Capital, designed to support sustainable business practices and foster a carbon-free future.

Supported by the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD) and sponsored by Dolphin Energy, the programme aims to equip businesses and professionals with the skills and knowledge to integrate natural capital into decision-making processes. The course provides practical tools to address sustainability challenges, manage environmental and social impacts, mitigate risks, and unlock growth opportunities.

Empowering Entrepreneurs for Sustainability
The CPD-accredited training empowers participants to adopt a natural capital approach in assessing and managing environmental impacts. Entrepreneurs will learn to conduct natural capital assessments, identify risks, and discover new opportunities to maximize business value. The programme also focuses on setting impactful sustainability goals and integrating innovative practices within organisations.

Huda Al Houqani, Director of ADSG, emphasized the importance of the initiative, stating, “Companies must proactively integrate the value of nature and natural resources into their decision-making processes. This collaboration with Capital Coalition is a strategic step towards equipping entrepreneurs with tools to lead the transition to a zero-emission and sustainable future.”

Real-World Applications and Certification
Participants will engage with real-life case studies and receive CPD accreditation upon completing the course. Distinguished projects from the programme will be showcased at major events, reflecting leadership in sustainability practices.

Louise Amand, Director at Capital Coalition, highlighted the course’s impact, noting, “This initiative enables professionals to become competitive leaders while contributing to a thriving and sustainable economy. We are proud to partner with ADSG to promote better business practices that benefit both society and the environment.”

A Step Towards Global Sustainability Goals
This collaborative effort addresses the skills gap in sustainable business practices, encouraging UAE companies to adopt strategies that align with global sustainability objectives. By integrating natural capital into business operations, organisations can ensure long-term progress, innovation, and prosperity.
