AWG acquires dry ice supplier in Indiana

North Carolina-based gas producer and distributor American Welding & Gas has acquired Grant Haberg, an Indiana-based dry ice business.

The purchase strengthens AWG’s presence in the Midwest and complements its existing network of gas and welding supply operations.

Grant Haberg has been serving the Chicago metropolitan area, the south suburbs, and northwest Indiana since 1948. The company operates a dry ice production facility at its HQ and produces small blasting pellets, 10 lb slices, and up to 50 lb solid blocks.

AWG said the acquisition also aligns with the company’s values and strategic goals.
