Dutch & Co. Ltd. Takes Home AFSIA’s “C&I Project Of The Year Award” For Innovative Solar Energy Solutions

Dutch & Company Limited (Dutch & Co.) has been awarded the prestigious C&I Project of the Year title by the African Solar Industry Association (AFSIA). The award was presented at the AFSIA Award Gala Reception, which took place on November 27th, 2024, at the Mövenpick Hotel & Residences in Nairobi. Dutch & Co. was chosen as the winner from three notable nominees for their outstanding contribution as the PV EPC and O&M contractor for the 16.82 MWp Mega Warehouse project in Tema, Ghana. This impressive project, owned by Helios Solar Company Ltd. (a subsidiary of the LMI Group of Companies in Ghana), is Africa’s largest single rooftop solar installation and the second largest globally.

Herbert Friese, General Manager of Dutch & Co., proudly accepted the award and expressed his gratitude for the recognition. Friese said in a statement, “This award is a testament to our team’s dedication and expertise in delivering innovative and sustainable energy solutions. We are honored to be recognized by AFSIA and remain committed to advancing solar energy across Africa.”

The Megawarehouse project not only showcases Dutch & Co.’s technical capabilities but also highlights the growing importance of renewable energy in addressing Africa’s energy challenges. It emphasizes the value of collaboration among all stakeholders to achieve outstanding results. As Africa continues to pursue sustainable development, Dutch & Co. is ready to play a key role in driving this change.
