EDF Renewables and the International Management of the EDF Group are joining forces under a unified banner—EDF Power Solutions—to enhance the efficiency, visibility, and impact of their international operations. This strategic merger, led by Béatrice Buffon, Group Executive Director for EDF’s power solutions, aligns with the EDF Group’s “Ambitions 2035” business plan. The newly consolidated entity brings together EDF’s global expertise with the synergies of both teams to design integrated, innovative energy solutions that combine multiple technologies for more effective decarbonisation of local power systems.

Béatrice Buffon, Executive Director of EDF Group, said “The creation of EDF power solutions is a major step in strengthening the visibility and ambition of the EDF group, the world’s leading low-carbon electrician. By joining the forces of the International Management of EDF and EDF Renewables, EDF gives itself the means to be a reference player in the energy transition in the countries where it operates, serving its customers and creating value for local electrical systems.”

EDF Power Solutions now manages a portfolio of 31 GW gross low-carbon generation capacity across 25 countries and employs over 10,000 people. The entity delivers a broad array of low-carbon technologies—including wind, solar, hydro, and biomass—while also focusing on grid flexibility, battery storage, hybrid systems, and distributed solutions such as solar + storage, minigrids, and electric mobility. Committed to EDF’s high standards, the organization integrates environmental, social, and health and safety considerations into every stage of project development and operation, ensuring long-term, responsible energy infrastructure worldwide.
